Terms of service

1. The service

Inveo provides a lookup and monitoring tool for public regulatory records about US motor carriers, brokers, and freight forwarders. The data is republished from government sources and computed from them, as described on the data sources and methodology page.

2. Informational use only

Data on this site is informational. It is not a substitute for independent verification, and it is not legal, insurance, or compliance advice. Regulatory records lag reality: FMCSA notes that mailed filings take several working days to appear in its systems. Decisions with legal or financial consequences require verification against the primary source.

3. Accounts

Accounts are provided for business use. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. Cancelling a paid plan downgrades the account; it does not delete it. You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time.

4. Acceptable use

You may not: resell, redistribute, or republish data obtained from the service outside your organization without written permission; use automated collection beyond documented interfaces and published limits; misrepresent your identity when claiming a company profile; or use the service to harass or defame any person or business.

5. Company profiles

Companies never pay for placement or ranking. Claiming a profile is free. Regulatory facts come from the issuing agency and are corrected there, not here; our matching errors are corrected by us when reported.

6. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inveo is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced to account holders by email before they take effect.
